Default Problem Encounter

Hi there i am having some problem seeing the boss aura

i can't actually see the Aura which is on the boss
i have search the forum for related problem too.. but what i see is that, ppl are saying that the graphic card is not compatible with X direct 8/9
but i am currently using GForce 4 mx series, to be clear i am actually using GForce 4 mx440 and x direct of 9.0c

Another Problem Encounter is, i am unable to check(tick) the post process effect.
1. i check the post process effect and click ok, i return to the main option.
2. i return to the advance menu to change some setting but b4 i got to change my setting i saw that the check on the post process effect is gone.. and i have tried to check it again but it still did not work out... it keep disableing it

Yeah, the GF4MX is only compatible with DirectX 7 in hardware, meaning that although you can install higher versions of Direct X (ie: 8 or 9), you will only be able to use the instructions provided by DX7 due to the hardware limitations of your card.

I'd guess that the Aura effect you're posting about is a DX8 shader, and since your card doesn't support pixel shaders, you're out of luck. Same thing goes for bloom (post-processing) - the card doesn't support it, so the game obviously just resets the preference for you.

Here's a page that will explain all of this a little better:
